Second Class : Lesson 1

Today, we start our class with greeting in Japanese.

Last week, Sensei thought us how to end our class in Japanese way, so now she teach  us how to start our class in Japanese way. We start our class stand up and say Konichiwa to our Sensei and then sit by saying Chakuseki.

Lesson 1, first we learn about how to pronounce vowel in Japanese starting from A, I, U, E, O. then, we learn about 3 types of letter which are Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. In this course we are only learn how to write Hiragana and Katakana only.

After that, we also learn some of Japanese Grammar.

わたしはナタシャです

Watashiwa Natasha Desu

My Name is Natasha. Desu is actually for closing of the sentences. 

In Japanese Grammar, Its start with Subject Object then Verb. For Example :

In English we write like this :

Ali eats rice but in Japanese grammar they write Ali rice eat.

Lastly, we learn how to greet in Japanese language 

1. Ohayoo Gozaimasu   おはようございます

we answer it back : Ohayoo Gozaimasu おはようございます

2. Konnichiwa 　こんにちわ

we answer it back : Konnichiwa こんにちわ

3. Konbanwa 　こんばんわ

we answer it back :  Konbanwa 　こんばんわ

4. Oyasuminasai 　おやすみなさい

we answer it back :  Oyasuminasai 　おやすみなさい

Self- Introduction for the first time meet  

1. Hajimemashite  はじめまして

we answer it back : Hajimemashite  はじめまして

Leave Home 

A : Itte Kimasu (person who are leaving)  いってきます

B : Itte Rashai (person inside the house)  いってらしゃい　

Come from Home 

A; Tadaima (person who just come back home)  ただいま

B: Okaerinasai (person inside the house)  おかえりなさい　

Complete Work 

A: Otsukaresama Desu　 おつかれさまです

B: Otsukaresama Deshita  おつかれさまでした

Leaving Workplace 

A. Osakini Shitsurei Shimasu (A person want to leave first before others) おさきにしつれいします

B. Otsukaresama Deshita (Others)  おつかれさまでした

Before Eating 

Itadakimasu　 いただきます

After finish eating 

Gochisoosama Deshita  ごちそおさまでした

Encouraging 

A; Ganbatte Kudasai (the one who wish) 　がんばってください

B: Ganbarimasu (the one who heard it)  がんばります

Apologizing 

1. Sumimasen 　すみません

2. Gomennasai 　ごめんあさい

First Class : Ice Breaking

Today is the day where we first meet our new classmates and our Sensei !

Our Sensei name's is Ms Zoraidah. She is very pretty and humble. She tells us about her educational background until how she become a Japanese Language lecturer in USIM. My classmate was only 18 people and we also get to know each other on this ice breaking session. Our Sensei said that we are not only learning the Japanese language but also learn their culture. So, lateness is a very crucial matter in this class. We have to be punctual in her class.

Ms Zoraidah tells us about our work assessment since Japanese Language does not have final exam so we must work hard in our assessment. There are 4 categories which are online task, video task, group work presentation and E-portfolio.

After that, the class has come to the end, Sensei teach us how to respect her as a teacher by standing up and said (きりつ） kiritsu  and then bow. Class end.
